Person Identification – Thermal Scan

Identify has successfully combined RFID system with Thermal Scan System for Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarter

Hand Free Thermal Scan

Because of covid-19, Identify has partnered with a thermal scan system provider to enhance its thermal scan with the ability to identify individual person. We have integrated our RFID system into his system. Besides capturing the temperature of each person, we can identify the person who is being scanned. We also can do the audit trail for the temperature of individual person.

Directional RFID Reader

Description

The UHF Directional Reader includes the RFID antenna and the reader in a single housing, producing high-level read performances, along with 3-D detection.  It has the ability to identify the direction and location that a specific RFID tag is moving.  For example, a person wearing a RFID badge walk down the hall and the device can quickly and easily determine the direction a tagged asset and associate it with a person and the last known location and direction the object is moving.  This UHF Directional Reader can now track people and assets in real time, making it ideal for industrial settings where logistical tracking is required.  It can be mounted at a company’s dock doors to can identify the direction in which a tagged box or pallet is moving

With excellent RFID and 3-D read rates, the new UHF Directional Reader Solution offers a cost-effective solution, making it ideal for the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical inventory tracking, event management, logistics, and access control.

Case: RFID Automate Inbound & Outbound Operation

CHALLENGE

It is normal practice to count individual inbound and outbound products in logistics operation.  However, the counting process is time consuming and has high potential for error because of manual operation.  In order to increase the efficiency in this process, Identify has developed a solution to automate inbound and outbound activities.

SOLUTION

The RFID readers are installed at the inbound and outbound stations.  Before moving the product out or into the warehouse, the staff just downloads the deliver document into our software.  When the products which are embedded with RFID tag pass the RFID reader, the readers will automatically scan the RFID tag in the products and send their information into our system.  Our system will compare the physical products against those in the document.  Any discrepancies will be highlighted before the products are delivered to end user to avoid any mistakes on product delivery.  This can reduce the request for order rectification from some clients.  In addition, our system will update product status either RECEIVING or DISPATCHING into the system without human intervention.

RESULTS

  • Eliminate human operation on scanning product inbound and outbound operation.
  • Reduce work force on data entry because information is automatically recorded into the system
  • Reduce operation time

Case: HOME PRO PLC. Phase III

CHALLENGE: AUTOMATE INTERNAL LOGISTICS

Home Pro PLC has expanded its distribution center facility to have additional entrance/exit and weight station.  In order to cope with this expansion, Home Pro has also extended the usage of our RFID Fleet Visibility to cover for its new entrance and weight station.

SOLUTION

Since Home Pro PLC is currently using our RFID Fleet Visibility solution.  All of his trucks and trailer have embedded with RFID tags so the investment of this expansion is the additional RFID readers only including one 4 port RFID reader for gate entrance/exit and one integrated antenna RFID reader for weight scale.  In terms of software, Home Pro staff simply added these readers into our software without any software modification because our software is designed to support any expansion.

RESULTS

  • Reduce time in implementation
  • Reduce investment on RFID tag.  Because our software supports any expansion.

Case: RFID Self Service Kiosk

CHALLENGE

Currently most of the university students are using RFID technology as student identification cards.  In order to maximize the benefits of RFID technology, Identify has developed a RFID self service kiosk to reduce the routine task on printing academic document.

SOLUTION

Besides PC and printer like most of the kiosk, our kiosk is also embedded with RFID reader and EDC terminal.  We use a RFID reader which also supports NFC standard.  The RFID reader is designed to verify student status.  The student needs to have his RFID student card to be scanned by the RFID reader before printing any academic document.   The system will verify the status of the student card with the university data base.   Later, he has to make payment for his request through EDC terminal.  Upon reading his card by the EDC terminal, our kiosk will link this payment transaction with the bank.  When the verification and payment is completed, the kiosk will automatically print out the request academic documents.  All the process to get academic document can be completed within one station by the student himself, no need for any university staff.
