Identify have implemented RFID Tunnel for laundry management in a hospital

One RFID tunnel is installed on weight station to identify all of the used clothes on weight station. Another set of RFID gate reader is installed on the gate to identify the entrace and exit of all clothes. RFID readers are designed to automate clothes counting process, particularly the used ones because of high risk on contamination.

Identify introduces UHF RFID laundry tag. The key features of the laundry tag:

  • Dimension : 70 x 10 x 1.3 mm
  • Material:  50/50 Polycotton or full polyester
  • Communication protocol: ISO18000-6C
  • Reading and writing distance: 0-5M, (different tag readers, there will have different reading distance)
  • Typical washing cycle:
    •  Washing +90C, 15 minutes,
    • Drying +180C 3 minutes,
    • Ironer +200C 12 seconds,
    • Water Extractor 60 bar, 80 seconds
  • Autoclave:
    •  Air removal 100C, 5 min , 0.1 bar
